The service
How are leather and suede cleaned?
Leather and suede cannot take an ordinary wash. They are dry cleaned, with a process and products made for them, which lift dirt without drying out the skin, then conditioned to restore their suppleness and, if needed, recoloured to bring the colour back.
We send these pieces to Tapis Clean, a family business in Dinant that has cared for leather, suede and fur since 1980. Each item is examined on arrival: type of leather, finish, lining, wear. We tell you what can be done before any work starts.
Turnaround is longer than for our other services, because leather needs time between each step. We confirm it when you drop the item off.

The Thursday round
Every Thursday, Tapis Clean calls at our shops to drop off the finished pieces and pick up the week's new ones. Turnaround times therefore differ from our other services: they depend on the first Thursday after you drop off, and we confirm them in the shop.

You may be wondering
How long does it take to clean a leather jacket?
Longer than our other services: leather needs to rest between each step. We confirm the turnaround when you drop it off, once we have examined the item.
Can you restore the colour of faded leather?
Yes. After cleaning and conditioning, the colour can be refreshed or the whole item redyed. We give you a quote after inspection.
Can suede be cleaned?
Yes. Suede and nubuck are dry cleaned with a specific process that keeps the soft nap of the leather.
Can you remove stains from leather?
Most of them, yes: grease, rain marks, scuffs. Point them out when you drop the item off. Some old stains that have soaked into the leather may stay visible; we tell you before we start.
Can I have my item collected from home?
Yes, in 26 municipalities across Brussels and Brabant, through the WOSH app. You can also drop it off at our shops in Ixelles and Watermael-Boitsfort.
How is the price set?
By the type of leather, the size of the item and the treatment you want. We confirm the price after inspection, before any work begins.
